Thank you easyCGI for losing my database, corrupting my backups, and bringing down my websites with your wonderful service.
This is why easyCGI is the worst hosting company ever:
- You lost my database during migration and I lost 30+ customers and had to refund $5k
- There has been more down-time than up-time
- 24-48 hours to get a site back up is NOT acceptable
- Tech support has no clue how to fix a simple problem
- Tired of being blamed for all errors, esp the line "It must be a client error". If it was working on the old platform for 7 years, how can it now be my error?
- You take no responsibility for your actions
- You don't care about your customers
- You didn't keep a backup of all data before migrating, or even bother to keep the old servers running just in case of errors
- You don't offer discounts for screwing up our accounts
- Did I mention that tech support is incompetent? How many times do I have to state the problem in email or chat before the tech gets it?
- It takes 5+ emails, 5+ phone calls and 5+ chats to get an account cancelled.
- You change passwords without consent
- You modify code to get sites to work on your system
- You allow multiple techs to work on a support ticket, which causes confusion and nothing ever gets done.
- Tech support is the worst I have ever seen in 10 years of hosting.
- Your email servers keep going down
- Your control panel keeps going down
- Our websites keep going down. Whatever happened to redundancy and 99.9% up-time? I don't appreciate it when companies are deceptive and lie about their services.
- You are quick to collect money, but not quick to fix a site. 1-2 hours is an acceptable amount of time to bring a site back up.
- Tired of hearing "I apologize for your inconvenience" when you know you don't give a damn!
- Charges a cancellation fee
- Will not create support tickets for me, but instead tell me to call. What’s the point of wasting my time in a support chat?
- I cannot log into my accounts because the password was somehow reset
- Submitting a support ticket never works
- The online control panel has a lot of bugs
- The webmail program is horrible
